Stevie T

Hi, I’m Stevie T.
I’ve been involved in internet radio on and off for over 12 years now.

I actually started out on Sunrise FM, and although I’ve played on a few other internet stations along the way, I’m like a boomerang—I always find my way back home. Sunrise has always held a special place in my heart. It’s where my journey began, and most likely, it’s where it’ll end!

I’ve gigged out a few times in the past, and when I play, I play with passion. I absolutely love to entertain!
I’m old school to the core, so you can always expect classic soul, funk, disco, rare groove, and all that good stuff from me.

One of my earliest musical memories goes back to the early ’80s, when I was just a kid. My dad had a Wurlitzer jukebox in the corner of our lounge (which my mum totally hated, by the way 😄). It was loaded with vinyl from the Philly sound—Billy Paul, The O’Jays, The Jacksons, Earth Wind & Fire, Shalamar, Dan Hartman, and more.

I was instantly hooked—those sounds drew me in like a magnet. As the ’80s went on, I got into pirate radio stations like Solar, Horizon, LWR, and of course, Radio London and Essex Radio—and let’s not forget Sunrise FM in that mix! 😁

I used to sneak off to Flicks nightclub in Dartford on Tuesday nights back in the mid-’80s—even on school nights! I was vibing to the likes of Skipworth & Turner, Total Contrast, Loose Ends, Five Star, and more. Those were some of the best times!

What can I say? “You know I’ve got soul.”
That said, I also have a deep love for other genres like electro, hip hop, and the acid house/‘89 scene—they all have a place in my heart.

🎶 Catch me every Sunday from 2 PM – 4 PM on my regular show:
